STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Guards,

Subject: The keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bonded warehouse keeper carrying on the keeping of a bonded warehouse shall make an application in Form G to the District Excise Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Guard shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Punjab.
