STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a place of public assembly carrying on the fire safety of a place of public assembly shall make an application in Form F to the National Executive Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that hazard map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Executive Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka.
