STANDING ORDER

To

All Petroleum Inspectors,

Subject: The distribution of natural gas by city gas distribution entities under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the distribution of natural gas by city gas distribution entities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every city gas distribution entity carrying on the distribution of natural gas shall make an application in Form III to the Central Commission within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Petroleum Inspector shall ensure that storage tank is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Commission within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat.
