STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of Inland Vessels,

Subject: The working of a wharf by owners of a wharf under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981 (Gujarat Act 30 of 1981), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a wharf by owners of a wharf.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a wharf carrying on the working of a wharf shall make an application in Form 2 to the Port Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar of Inland Vessels shall ensure that crew list is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Port Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Gujarat.
