STANDING ORDER

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Revenue Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of an inam by inamdars.

2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 1 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Odisha.
