STANDING ORDER

To

All Drugs Inspectors,

Subject: The sale of drugs by licensees under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1997), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of drugs by licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the sale of drugs shall make an application in Form 25 to the Appropriate Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Drugs Inspector shall ensure that record is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appropriate Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
