STANDING ORDER
To
All Emergency Officers,
Subject: The maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a high-rise building carrying on the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building shall make an application in Form G to the Director of Fire Services within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Emergency Officer shall ensure that relief material is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Fire Services within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
