STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors of Schools,

Subject: The transport of school children by operators of a school bus under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 (Gujarat Act 8 of 2009), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of school children by operators of a school bus.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a school bus carrying on the transport of school children shall make an application in Form F to the District Education Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Inspector of Schools shall ensure that admission register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Education Officer within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Gujarat.
