STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors of Motor Vehicles,

Subject: The aggregation of transport services by aggregators under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974 (Tamil Nadu Act 13 of 1974), the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the aggregation of transport services by aggregators.

2. The matter has been examined. Every aggregator carrying on the aggregation of transport services shall make an application in Form 2 to the Regional Transport Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Inspector of Motor Vehicles shall ensure that motor vehicle is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Regional Transport Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
