STANDING ORDER

To

All Regional Transport Officers,

Subject: The use of a transport vehicle by permit holders under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985 (Kerala Act 21 of 1985), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of a transport vehicle by permit holders.

2. The matter has been examined. Every permit holder carrying on the use of a transport vehicle shall make an application in Form 1 to the Regional Transport Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Regional Transport Officer shall ensure that certificate of registration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Regional Transport Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala.
