STANDING ORDER

To

All Regionals Officer of the Board,

Subject: The operation of a teleport by operators of a teleport under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a teleport by operators of a teleport.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a teleport carrying on the operation of a teleport shall make an application in Form VII to the Board of Film Certification within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Regional Officer of the Board shall ensure that declaration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Film Certification within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka.
