STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968), the Excise Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall make an application in Form H to the Excise Appellate Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that excisable article is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
