STANDING ORDER

To

All Licensing Officers,

Subject: The transport of explosives by transporters of explosives under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 1937), the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of explosives by transporters of explosives.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter of explosives carrying on the transport of explosives shall make an application in Form III to the Government of Tamil Nadu within ten days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Licensing Officer shall ensure that printing machine is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Tamil Nadu within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
