STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Revenue Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of land as tenant by tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 14 to the State Government within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Goa.
