STANDING ORDER

To

All Housing Commissioners,

Subject: The construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme under the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 34 of 1999), the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every builder of a group housing scheme carrying on the construction of a group housing scheme shall make an application in Form B to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Housing Commissioner shall ensure that rent receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka.
