STANDING ORDER

To

All Public Information Officers,

Subject: The running of a citizen service centre by operators of a citizen service centre under the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2012), the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a citizen service centre by operators of a citizen service centre.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a citizen service centre carrying on the running of a citizen service centre shall make an application in Form F to the Central Information Commission within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Public Information Officer shall ensure that fee receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Information Commission within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
