STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950 (Bihar Act 30 of 1950), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 12 to the Land Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that register of holdings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Bihar.
