STANDING ORDER

To

All Canal Officers,

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form B to the Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Canal Officer shall ensure that permit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tribunal within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Rajasthan.
