STANDING ORDER
To
All commanding officers,
Subject: The operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Home Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a firing range carrying on the operation of a firing range shall make an application in Form F to the Director-General within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The commanding officer shall ensure that stores is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director-General within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
