STANDING ORDER

To

All Directors,

Subject: The sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition under the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974 (Telangana Act 2 of 1974), the Tourism Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sponsoring of a competition by sponsors of a competition.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sponsor of a competition carrying on the sponsoring of a competition shall make an application in Form E to the Sports Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Director shall ensure that stadium is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Authority within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Telangana.
