STANDING ORDER

To

All Incident Commanders,

Subject: The maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), the Social Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a high-rise building carrying on the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building shall make an application in Form F to the National Executive Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Incident Commander shall ensure that shelter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Executive Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
