STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Director General of Foreign Trade,

Subject: The development of infrastructure in a Special Economic Zone by co-developers under the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 45 of 2002), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the development of infrastructure in a Special Economic Zone by co-developers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-developer carrying on the development of infrastructure in a Special Economic Zone shall make an application in Form SEZ-1 to the Reserve Bank within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade shall ensure that letter of permission is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Reserve Bank within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
