STANDING ORDER
To
All Superintendents of the Copying Department,
Subject: The conduct of court auctions by court auctioneers under the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959 (Maharashtra Act 36 of 1959), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of court auctions by court auctioneers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every court auctioneer carrying on the conduct of court auctions shall make an application in Form C to the Registrar General within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Superintendent of the Copying Department shall ensure that decree is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar General within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
