New Delhi, dated the 23rd January, 2021

STANDING ORDER

To

All Civil Defence Officers,

Subject: The execution of relief works by contractors for relief works under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), the Transport Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of relief works by contractors for relief works.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for relief works carrying on the execution of relief works shall make an application in Form C to the State Executive Committee within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Civil Defence Officer shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
