STANDING ORDER

To

All Extension Officers,

Subject: The running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre under the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 (West Bengal Act 41 of 1973), the Information Technology Department, Government of West Bengal hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a common service centre carrying on the running of a common service centre shall make an application in Form 8 to the Zila Parishad within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Extension Officer shall ensure that muster roll is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Zila Parishad within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of West Bengal.
