STANDING ORDER

To

All Panchayat Inspectors,

Subject: The running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand under the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Kerala Act 13 of 1994), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a village bus stand carrying on the running of a village bus stand shall make an application in Form 6 to the District Collector within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that tax receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Kerala.
