STANDING ORDER

All Plant Protection Officers,

Subject: The sale of fertilisers by dealers in fertilisers under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959), the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of fertilisers by dealers in fertilisers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in fertilisers carrying on the sale of fertilisers shall make an application in Form C to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Plant Protection Officer shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka.
