STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The transmission of electricity by transmission licensees under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the Law Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transmission of electricity by transmission licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transmission licensee carrying on the transmission of electricity shall make an application in Form VI to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Gujarat.
