STANDING ORDER

All Assistant Directors,

Subject: The running of a gymnasium by operators of a gymnasium under the Kerala Sports Act, 2000, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Sports Act, 2000 (Kerala Act 1 of 2000), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a gymnasium by operators of a gymnasium.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a gymnasium carrying on the running of a gymnasium shall make an application in Form G to the Sports Tribunal within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Director shall ensure that federation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Tribunal within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Kerala.
