STANDING ORDER

All Assistant Directors,

Subject: The running of a swimming pool by operators of a swimming pool under the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974 (Telangana Act 2 of 1974), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a swimming pool by operators of a swimming pool.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a swimming pool carrying on the running of a swimming pool shall make an application in Form D to the Sports Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Director shall ensure that register of athletes is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Telangana.
