STANDING ORDER

To

All Panchayat Inspectors,

Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Energy Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 1 to the Zila Parishad within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that village map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Zila Parishad within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Rajasthan.
