STANDING ORDER

To

All Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952 (Odisha Act 2 of 1952), the Home Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara.

2. The matter has been examined. Every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall make an application in Form F to the Government of Odisha within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Charity Commissioner shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Odisha within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
