STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Directors,

Subject: The coaching of athletes by coaches under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Labour Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the coaching of athletes by coaches.

2. The matter has been examined. Every coach carrying on the coaching of athletes shall make an application in Form B to the Sports Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Director shall ensure that contract of an athlete is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Authority within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Goa.
