STANDING ORDER

All District Sports Officers,

Subject: The running of a stadium by operators of a stadium under the Kerala Sports Act, 2000, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Sports Act, 2000 (Kerala Act 1 of 2000), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a stadium by operators of a stadium.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a stadium carrying on the running of a stadium shall make an application in Form D to the Disciplinary Panel within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The District Sports Officer shall ensure that register of athletes is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Disciplinary Panel within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Kerala.
