STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885), the Urban Development Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 7 to the Board of Revenue within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Bihar.
