STANDING ORDER

All Auditors of Trusts,

Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952 (Odisha Act 2 of 1952), the Home Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a waqf by mutawallis.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form G to the Waqf Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Auditor of Trusts shall ensure that trust is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Waqf Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
