STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Registrars,

Subject: The business of a real estate agent by real estate agents under the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Slum Areas (Improvement and Clearance) Act, 1973 (Karnataka Act 33 of 1973), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a real estate agent by real estate agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every real estate agent carrying on the business of a real estate agent shall make an application in Form D to the Competent Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Registrar shall ensure that common area is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Competent Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka.
