STANDING ORDER

To

All Civil Defence Officers,

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the safety of a school building by owners of a school building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form G to the National Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Civil Defence Officer shall ensure that no-objection certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka.
