STANDING ORDER
To
All Child Welfare Officers,
Subject: The employment of women by employers of women under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the employment of women by employers of women.
2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of women carrying on the employment of women shall make an application in Form I to the Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Child Welfare Officer shall ensure that report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Committee within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
