STANDING ORDER

All Secretaries of the Gram Panchayat,

Subject: The holding of a fair by licensees of a fair under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a fair by licensees of a fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fair carrying on the holding of a fair shall make an application in Form 7 to the Panchayat Samiti within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Secretary of the Gram Panchayat shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Panchayat Samiti within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan.
