STANDING ORDER
To
All Municipal Engineers,
Subject: The ownership of a building by owners of a building under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the Ports Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the ownership of a building by owners of a building.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building carrying on the ownership of a building shall make an application in Form H to the Development Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. The Municipal Engineer shall ensure that hoarding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Development Authority within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Karnataka.
