STANDING ORDER

To

All Relief Officers,

Subject: The holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a mass gathering carrying on the holding of a mass gathering shall make an application in Form C to the National Executive Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Relief Officer shall ensure that shelter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Executive Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
