STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands under the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 (Rajasthan Act 15 of 1956), the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall make an application in Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that certificate of occupancy is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan.
