STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hazardous installation carrying on the operation of a hazardous installation shall make an application in Form D to the District Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that warning is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Authority within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
