STANDING ORDER

To

All Municipal Commissioners,

Subject: The running of a cinema by operators of a cinema within the municipal limits under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a cinema by operators of a cinema within the municipal limits.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cinema within the municipal limits carrying on the running of a cinema shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Municipal Administration within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Municipal Commissioner shall ensure that drain is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Municipal Administration within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Gujarat.
