STANDING ORDER

To

All Taxing Officers,

Subject: The management of property in the custody of the court by court receivers under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1955), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of property in the custody of the court by court receivers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every court receiver carrying on the management of property in the custody of the court shall make an application in Form B to the Registrar General within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Taxing Officer shall ensure that deposition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar General within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
