STANDING ORDER
To
All Village Accountants,
Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the Home Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Punjab.
