STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Press Registrars,

Subject: The printing of a periodical by printers under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the printing of a periodical by printers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every printer carrying on the printing of a periodical shall make an application in Form IV to the Appellate Tribunal within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Press Registrar shall ensure that advertisement is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appellate Tribunal within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
