STANDING ORDER

To

All Joints Director General of Foreign Trade,

Subject: The manufacture of goods for export by export oriented units under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005 (Tamil Nadu Act 18 of 2005), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of goods for export by export oriented units.

2. The matter has been examined. Every export oriented unit carrying on the manufacture of goods for export shall make an application in Form ANF-1 to the Director General within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Joint Director General of Foreign Trade shall ensure that importer-exporter code is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director General within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
