STANDING ORDER

To

All Internal Auditors,

Subject: The sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents under the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 1999), the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lottery agent carrying on the sale of lottery tickets shall make an application in Form GFR 12-A to the Government of Karnataka within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Internal Auditor shall ensure that audit report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
